Title:  World Hunger A Global Issue

Objective: To raise awreness of hunger issues, and reinforce      the point that hunger is a global problem.


Introduction: Age Range: Grades 3-4
                        Subject: Social Studies

Through research and the application of mapping skills and critical thinking and research, students will gain an understanding of the problems of hunger and poverty around the world, the strategies being employed to combat the effects of these problems, and the efforts being made to create sustainable solutions.

  2. What are two organizations that help stop global hunger?

  3. Food, shelter, and water are some things that we take for granted in our society, Do you think that these things are taken for granted in other countries like Central America, Africa, Haiti?
